10 Spice Blends You Can Make Yourself

Buying spices and spice blends at the market store can be rattling costly. A minor jounce can run upward of $4.00 or more. Making them yourself is easy, not to mention much economical, flavorful and perhaps healthier (you can control your spice blends don't contain unnecessary additives, fillers, MSG, or artificial ingredients). Start by finding a source where you can purchase spices in bulk and/or whole, which is a much cheaper style to purchase spices and you can ensure the quantity you take.

There are many spice shops online, or you can visit your local natural foods supermarket where they usually have a wide-variety of spices available in bulk.   • ½ teaspoonful ground nutmeg

4. Taco or Fajita Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon chili con carne powder
  • 1 tablespoonful coarse Allium sativum
  • 1 tablespoonful ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon smoke-cured paprika
  • 2 teaspoons  desiccated oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

5. Seasoned Salt

  • 2 tablespoons salt (do not function coarse salt)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated boodle
  • 2 teaspoons  pimiento
  • 2 teaspoons onion plant powder
  • 2 teaspoons harsh ail
  • 1 teaspoon   Cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon   Curcuma domestica
  • ½ teaspoon  cornstarch

6. Chinese Quint Spice Powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground fennel germ
  • 1 teaspoon ground Chinese anise
  • 1 teaspoonful ground Szechwan province peppercorns
  • ½ teaspoon found cloves

7. Unproductive Rub for Ribs

  • cumin
  • paprika
  • granulated ail
  • onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon Long pepper

8. Poultry Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon  ground nutmeg

9. Montreal Steak Flavorer

  • 1 tablespoon   paprika
  • 1 tablespoon base black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon  Kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon   onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground Coriandrum sativum
  • 1 teaspoonful reddish Piper nigru flakes
  • 1 teaspoonful dehydrated dill

10. Herbes de Provence

  • 2 teaspoons dry rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons marjoram
  • 2 teaspoons thyme
  • 2 teaspoons summer savory
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon   dried Artemisia dracunculus
  • 2 bay laurel leaves, crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon dried lemon rind
  • ¼ teaspoonful  dried lilac-colored buds, crushed
